Herb Infused Honey
date:
I’m sharing a how-to for infusing honey over at Simple Bites today. It’s as easy as adding dried herbs to (local, if you can find it) honey, putting the jar in your pantry and removing the herbs about a week later. I made vanilla bean-cardamom and lemon-rosemary blends, but there are an endless number of possibilities when you make your own.
And while I know chocolate is the gift de rigueur for Valentine’s Day, I think a jar of this honey would make an excellent gift, especially with a small loaf of bread (this pumpkin oat bread is a favorite of mine).
Yum, Courtney! Now you need to figure out the blueberry honey we had when we visited Tara!
It’s funny you should mention that because it totally crossed my mind when I was making these. Man, that stuff was so good. I’ll have to do some research, and hopefully I can make it happen!

I put honey on my greek yogurt every morning and it could definitely use some sprucing up with an herb infusion! Off to check this out!
